Factors to understand Before Purchasing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was for sale on November 10th, 2009 and had one of the most exciting launches I can even keep in mind! I did not go out to the midnight launching, but I journeyed out on kick off day and was there 3 hours prior to launch during the morning and there were currently 20+ folks waiting around there. After a half hour to fourty five minutes, I finally bought my copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for the PS3 and off I drove to spend the majority of my week ranking up as quickly as I could.
So just before I start off, I just want to say that I'm a huge fan of Call of Duty 4, but I tried to keep this review from the view of an individual who hasnt played any of the Call of Duty video games or another person who did not enjoy the previous video games in the Call of Duty series. I wouldnt consider myself a Call of Duty fan-boy, but I was motivated on acquiringCall of Duty Modern Warfare 2 back when Call of Duty 4 was unveiled.
As the majority of you by now grasp, I barely actually spend money on video game titles that dont provide some form of multi-player and ordinarily will only invest in game titles for its multi-player feature, but I did actually play the complete single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 and I have to say that I did appreciate it even whilst playing through a second time. The story was solid, it was just a little complicated at times, but it tied in relatively well with exactly where the story left off in Call of Duty 4 and presented solutions to a multitude of unanswered issues.
Really the only point I surely did not like concerning the single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 was that, for the most part, it absolutely was reasonably simple for the hardest difficulty setting. Now, I didnt say constantly, simply because that is most certainly not true, there were times in which I got quite aggravated as a result of there were just so many enemies at once on every single side and it made me incredibly aggravated, but other than that, the single player campaign was stress-free and a refreshing new video game to play through.
As far as the controller layout goes, it is exactly the same as in Call of Duty 4 and it absolutely was great for that video game and is nevertheless totally perfect now. As far as I am concerned, the control structure selections in COD4 and MW2 are the most perfect layouts that have ever been set together for any game. You'll notice a couple of other layouts that you can choose from and more or less all of those layouts are great as well. Some of the optional layouts take a little while to get used to, but as soon as youre accustomed to the new control scheme, youre godly!
Now comes the portion which you all have been longing for! My opinions relating to the multiplayer feature of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2! So after putting in above 360 hours of online gaming, I feel I can give a fairly high-quality overview of what its all about. For the most part, every thing is better balanced. The maps are laid out nicely, and most of the perks and weapon attachments work alright. This being said, there are definitely negatives to go together with the positives. Now, dont get me completely wrong here, I am not intending to go over every thing that is right in this video game, as it would take too long. Instead, I am intending to try and go over some of the main flaws contained in the online aspect of this game, for the reason that I assume this would be more valuable to potential buyers and/or prior owners.
Here we go, lets get started now on the bad elements. As far as Im concerned, one man army is the only real sketchy perk. On its own, there is practically nothing wrong with it, and it can be fairly useful depending on your scenario, but utilized within the hands, it can be put into use in an extremely irritating way that will make anyone express a desire to simply just break their controller until the pieces halt soaring.
Next up, we have death streaks. To just be up front and direct, being rewarded for dying, in my opinion, is just stupid. There should really be no need for this if the spawn feature was properly thought through, which, unfortunately, it most certainly just isn't, but if you are making use of death streaks for anything but to battle the inferior spawn organization, then you've got no excuse, you are definitely a noob.
On that note, I may as well touch on the spawn system seeing as I already opened that can of worms. With out starting into a massive rant, basically the spawn process runs very well in most circumstances, but on the occasion, it operates just about as effectively as an Xbox 360 with the RROD. It does not help you in any respect, it generates you high anger, and it makes you wish to fling your console out the windowpane of a three story or higher structure. Im pretty positive that that's pretty much all that I have to express about that, mainly because if you have played a respectable quantity of games and online game varieties, you know precisely what I am babbling about.
One particular other issue that runs just like that, is the matchmaking process. The online game automatically selects what lobby its going to set you in. This means, you could be placed in a lobby which has 3 seconds left within online game and it truly is really unachievable for you to win. This really upsets me to no end. There is no simpler method to mess up my anticipation to just cool off and play some Modern Warfare 2 then when I launch it up and enter a game on a team that has been just getting it handed to them. It is not fun in any way, in fact, most of the time if this happens I will simply just flip the PS3 system off right then and there and do some thing else instead.
So far as weapons go, they're pretty significantly balanced now. At the beginning there was an enormous argument about the model 1887s, but due to all of the complainers, they got nerfed and are now about just as good as casting a rock at another person. In terms of the rest of the weapons go, they're all extremely effective and if you do not respond instantly, you'll die free of even knowing what transpired.
I think this concludes the argument over the multiplayer element of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and if you must know any more relating to it, just buy it, because it is most certainly deserving of the revenue.
