So how hard is it to use peel and sticks. Here are some installation tips:

Thoroughly clean wall and make sure it is free of moisture. For recentlycolored walls let paint "cure" for 10 to 15 days prior to applying decals. Even if new paint seems dry, it may continue to need to settle and totallycure. Peel and Stick Wall Decals are not advised on "Orange Peel" textured walls, over cinder blocks, very textured and porous surfaces, wallpaper or delicate surfaces. Wall stickers are OK to apply onto tile providing the surface is thoroughly clean and absolutelyfree of moisture during installation. Make sure the design element does not cover grout area as water couldleak under and damage the adhesive. Apply onto shower walls, as long as they are placedsnugly onto the surface area so moisturecan'treach under the design element. Once applied, RoomMates should notshift even if sprayed by shower.


Vinyl wall decals shouldn't be placed in a dishwater or microwave and they shouldn't be positioned on rugs, fabrics and any other textiles. Textile fibers may cling to the adhesive and damage the product. Also, neverput at the bottom or inside the tub. Water could seepunderneath the design element too easily and would compromise the adhesive. When applying, make sure you start from one side (for the border) or the top (for the appliques) of each element. Keep the rest of the element at a distance from the wall/surface. Slowly go down over the design with your hand and smooth the element onto surface (and press the bubbles out as you go). Once put on you should be able to move any remaining bubbles out by pressing/smoothing them out of the section. If the difficultypersists (this would onlyhappen with the giant decals), you can punch a teeny (invisible to the eye) hole with a pin to press the air out.

In all, it is alwaysmost effective to test wall decals in an inconspicuous area. If the surface is uneven, effectiveness could be criticallydiminished. Make certain surface is clean of dust and dirt or you may compromise the adhesive and destroy the item.
