So how hard is it to use peel and sticks. Here are some helpful hints:

Wash wall and make sure it is dried out. For freshlycolored walls let paint "thouroughly dry" for 10 to 15 days prior to applying decals. Even if new paint feels dry, it may nonetheless need to settle and totallycure. Peel and Stick Wall Decals are not advised on "Orange Peel" textured walls, over cinder blocks, very uneven and porous surfaces, wallpaper or delicate surfaces. Wall stickers are OK to apply onto tile as long as the surface is clean and absolutelyfree of moisture during application. Be certain the design element does not cover grout region as water mightleak under and compromise the adhesive. Apply onto shower walls, provided that they are placedsnugly onto the surface area so moisturecannotreach under the decal. Once applied, RoomMates won'tmove even if sprayed by shower.


Vinyl wall decals should not be placed in a dishwater or microwave and they should not be positioned on rugs, fabrics and any other textiles. Textile fibers may cling to the adhesive and ruin the product. Also, neverplace at the bottom or inside the tub. Water could filterunderneath the wall decal too easily and would damage the adhesive. When using, make sure you begin from one side (for the border) or the top (for the appliques) of each element. Keep the rest of the element away from the wall/surface. Slowly go down over the design with your hand and smooth the element onto surface (and press the bubbles out as you go). Once put on you should be able to move any remaining bubbles out by pressing/smoothing them out of the element. If the issuepersists (this would onlyhappen with the giant decals), you can punch a tiny (invisible to the eye) hole with a pin to press the air out.

In all, it is alwaysmost effective to test wall decals in an inconspicuous area. If the surface area is uneven, effectiveness could be significantlydiminished. Ensure that surface is thoroughly clean of dust and dirt or you may damage the adhesive and damage the merchandise.
