So how hard is it to use peel and sticks. Here are some installation tips:

Clean wall and make sure it is free of moisture. For recentlypainted walls let paint "cure" for 10 to 15 days before to putting on decals. Even if new paint seems dry, it may continue to need to settle and totallydry. Peel and Stick Wall Decals are not advised on "Orange Peel" textured walls, over cinder blocks, very textured and permeable surfaces, wallpaper or fragile surfaces. Wall stickers are OK to apply onto tile as long as the surface is thoroughly clean and absolutelyfree of moisture during installation. Be sure the design element does not cover grout area as water mightfilter under and compromise the adhesive. Apply onto shower walls, given that they are positionedsnugly onto the surface area so moistureis unable toreach under the sticker. Once applied, RoomMates should notmove even if sprayed by shower.


Vinyl wall decals can't be placed in a dishwater or microwave and they must not be positioned on rugs, fabrics and any other textiles. Textile fibers may stick to the adhesive and destroy the merchandise. Also, do notposition at the base or inside the tub. Water could filterbeneath the wall decal too easily and would compromise the adhesive. When using, make sure you begin from one side (for the border) or the top (for the appliques) of each element. Keep the other parts of the element at a distance from the wall/surface. Gradually go down over the design with your hand and smooth the element onto area (and press the bubbles out as you go). Once put on you should be able to move any remaining bubbles out by pressing/smoothing them out of the section. If the problemcontinues (this would onlyhappen with the giant decals), you can punch a tiny (invisible to the eye) hole with a pin to drive the air out.

In all, it will always bemost effective to test wall decals in an inconspicuous area. If the surface area is textured, operation could be significantlydiminished. Ensure that surface is clean of dust and dirt or you may compromise the adhesive and damage the item.
